Description

Penn Medicine is a leading academic medical center dedicated to providing the highest level of care, conducting innovative research, and educating future leaders. This role offers a part‑time schedule with Monday, Tuesday and Friday days, one Saturday per month, plus holiday coverage.

Summary
  • A Speech‑Language Pathologist who provides speech, language, and dysphagia services in accordance with the Standards of Practice of the American Speech‑Language Hearing Association, New Jersey Licensure Board, and Princeton Health Care System Bylaws.
  • Examination, evaluation, treatment, and instruction of patients and families for prevention, habilitation, and rehabilitation of speech, language, learning, processing, cognition and swallowing disorders, including aphasia, articulation, auditory processing, dysfluency, dysphagia, foreign accent, hearing impairment, language impairment, laryngectomy, learning disability, memory disorder, neurogenic disorders, oral‑motor dysfunction, vocal pathology and related conditions.
Responsibilities
  • Evaluate clinical findings to determine rehabilitation diagnosis and outcomes of care.
  • Design and implement plans of care that integrate goals, treatment, outcomes and discharge plans.
  • Perform interventions, assess responses to care and adapt delivery to individual differences.
  • Reassess as necessary, document care in the EMR, and hand off problems to case managers.
  • Collaborate with other caregivers and staff to enhance patient care and performance improvement.
  • Maintain competence in age‑specific knowledge, ethical guidelines and confidentiality standards.
  • Plan and facilitate in‑service and continuing education activities and provide consultation to facility personnel.
Credentials
  • Speech‑Language Pathologist – required.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support – required.
  • Clinical Competence in Audiology – required.
Education & Experience
  • Master of Arts or Science in Speech‑Language Pathology (required).
  • Clinical Fellowship Year or equivalent experience can be considered.
  • Experience with adults, children and dysphagia preferred.
Schedule and Salary

Part‑time schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Friday; one Saturday per month and holiday coverage. Compensation ranges from $36.56 to $58.30 per hour, adjusted for experience and education.
