Southcoast Health in Fall River, MA is seeking a Speech Pathologist for per diem scheduling at Health at Home - VNA Rehab. The role focuses on assessing and addressing speech, language, cognitive communication, voice, swallowing, and related disorders under supervision.

Requirements include a Master’s in Speech Language Pathology, CCC-ASHA, MA and RI licensure, BLS/CPR, and at least two years of experience; travel to nearby towns is expected; vaccination per policy or waiver is required.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
• CCC-ASHA certification from ASHA required.
• Two years of related experience in speech-language pathology.
• Massachusetts and Rhode Island licensure required; BLS/CPR certification.
• Vaccination against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 or eligibility for exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, treat and help restore speech-language, cognitive communication, voice, swallowing and related disorders.
• Provide services in home health across Fall River and surrounding towns (possibly RI).
• Document patient progress using electronic health records and maintain accuracy.
• Collaborate with Clinical Manager and Rehabilitation team to coordinate care.

Hours: Per Diem

Shift: Day shift; 8:00am - 4:30pm

Location: Health at Home - VNA Rehab - Fall River, MA and surrounding towns, possibly RI

Travel: Driving on average 3 or more times per week required

**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 24 hours.

Under general supervision of the Clinical Manager or designee, perform duties to support and in support of the Rehabilitation Department. Assess, diagnose, treat and help to restore speech language, cognitive communication, voice, swallowing, fluency and other related disorders within the patient's capabilities.

• Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology is required.
• Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-ASHA) from the American Speech/Language & Hearing Association is required.
• Proficient computer skills, including experience with various software, database and electronic records programs is required.
• Two (2) years of related experience in the field of Speech Therapy is required.
• Home care experience preferred
• A Speech Therapist licensed by the Board of Registration in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and may be required in Rhode Island, subject to geographic area assignment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) & CPR certification are required.
• MA and RI licensure will be needed
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
• Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
