Job summary

North Mississippi Health Services is seeking a supervisory Speech Pathology professional to lead interns and staff within the clinical team. You will evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and ensure proper documentation and billing for services.

You will maintain service quality by staying current with continuing education, mentoring new staff, and providing clinical instruction after gaining experience as a clinician.

Qualifications

• Supervise student interns and delegate authority to technicians.
• Provide clinical oversight and mentorship within Speech Pathology.
• Maintain documentation and ensure accurate charging.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and establish treatment plans for patients referred to Speech Pathology.
• Maintain productivity within monthly targets.
• Attend and provide continuing education in-servicing.
• Serve as mentor for new employees or volunteers.
• Serve as clinical instructor after one year of experience.

Supervisory

• Supervises student interns and delegates authority to technicians Clinical:
• Maintains productivity level at MRS target
• Evaluates and establishes treatment plan for any patient referred to Speech Pathology
• Remains competent in the following areas: ABR equipment and testing, Blue dye test procedure, Bedside swallow evaluations, Video swallows, Routine hearing screenings, Wheelchair transfers
• Attends and provides continuing education in-servicing
• Serves as mentor for new employee(s) or volunteers
• Serves as clinical instructor after one year of experience as a clinician

Budget

• Remains within monthly budget when ordering equipment and supplies
• Charges patients appropriately and in a timely manner for treatment and equipment

Other

• Must be competent in use of computer for documentation and charging purposes
