• BCLS - Basic Life Support certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides speech-language pathology services in the NICU by coordinating consultations and diagnostic evaluations for patients with communication disorders and/or dysphagia, and interpreting assessment data; plans and delivers therapy to restore function and maximize potential.
• Supervises rehabilitation technicians, students, and observers; may orient and provide ongoing guidance to assigned staff.

Responsibilities:

*NICU Department

Provides speech-language pathology services by coordinating consultations and diagnostic evaluations with patients having known or suspected communication disorders and/or oropharyngeal dysphagia; and interpreting assessment data; planning and performing speech-language pathology treatment intervention programs when appropriate that restore function, prevent disability and help patients reach maximum potential. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonate, pediatric, adult and geriatric. Responsible for the supervision of rehabilitation technicians, students, and observers. May be responsible for orientation and ongoing guidance of assigned staff.
