Job summary

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is seeking a Speech Pathologist to apply assessment, treatment, habilitation and rehabilitation concepts for communication disorders in an inpatient rehab setting. You will evaluate patients, determine acuity, plan and direct therapy programs, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires active Florida SLP licensure and includes potential EMR experience. BLS certification is preferred.

Job Summary

The Speech Pathologist is responsible for applying principles, methods, and procedures for the prevention, identification, evaluation, treatment, consultation, habilitation, rehabilitation, instruction, and research, relative to the development and disorders of human communication; to related oral and pharyngeal competencies; and to behavior related to disorders of human communication. The Speech Pathologist shall assume the responsibility for assessing the patient, identifying the level of acuity of illness, planning the patient’s treatment program, and implementing and directing the program.

Required Qualifications

• Require current Florida Speech Language Pathologist (SLP).

Preferred Qualifications

• Prefer Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience.

Preferred License and Certs

• BLS: Basic Life Support
