Job summary

UnityPoint Health in Davenport, IA is seeking a Speech Pathologist for a flexible, part-time role (0.5 FTE) with hours Mon–Fri and options between 7:00 AM–6:00 PM. You will assess and treat patients across pediatric to geriatric populations in neurological and orthopedic settings.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree from an accredited Speech Therapy program.
  • 2 years’ experience as a Speech Therapist.
  • Current IA and/or IL Speech Therapy licensure (or eligible).
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Certification of Clinical Competency issued by ASHA within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Speech Therapy evaluation and development of the plan of care appropriate for each patient based on the patient’s physical, mental, emotional, and developmental impairments and functional limitations.
  • Provide Speech Therapy interventions in accordance with established standards of care, policies, procedures, and state/federal law. Interventions may be related to but not limited to communicative, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
  • Supervise and complete appropriate documentation for Speech Therapy students as assigned by CCCE.
  • Schedule Speech Therapy services according to department
  • Complete documentation in electronic medical record in a timely manner in accordance within department and professional expectations demonstrating the need for skilled interventions.
  • Participate in patient care conferences/staffing as appropriate for multidisciplinary patients.

A variety of diagnoses and possibility of all 3 settings served include but are not limited to communicative, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
  • Provide Speech Therapy interventions in accordance with established standards of care, policies, procedures, and state/federal law. Interventions may be related to but not limited to communicative, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
  • Supervise and complete appropriate documentation for Speech Therapy students as assigned by CCCE.
