Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a Speech Pathologist to support adult patients in home health across Butler and Columbus, GA. This full-time role focuses on assessing, diagnosing and treating speech, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing disorders in home settings, with emphasis on patient comfort and independence.

The compensation ranges from $109,200 to $132,600 annually (per visit conversion recommended), plus mileage reimbursement, a fleet vehicle program and comprehensive benefits including

Qualifications

• Current, valid license to practice speech pathology in the assigned state.
• CCC-SLP with completed graduate coursework and a practicum from an accredited program (CAA).
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Prevent, assess, diagnose and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication and swallowing disorders in adults.
• Provide aural rehabilitation for those who are deaf or hard of hearing and AAC support for severe expressive/language impairment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for working to prevent, assess, diagnose and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication and swallowing disorders in adults.


• Provides aural rehabilitation for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing and provides augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders.


• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered license to practice speech pathology specific to that state you are assigned to work.


• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology (CCC‑SLP) * with completed graduate course work and a clinical practicum at a college or university whose program is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech‑Language Pathology (CAA).


• Current CPR certification.

Preferred

• One (1+) year of experience in speech pathology.

Note: If the SLP - CCC certification has not been obtained the candidate must be put into the SLP Clinical Fellow (100910) job. Clinical Fellowship (CFY) is the transition between student and independent which involves an SLP supervisor, hour requirements and mentoring.
