Job summary

Phoebe Putney Health System in Albany, GA is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to assess and treat feeding/swallowing and communication disorders across age groups. You will use equipment and documentation practices to ensure high-quality patient care and provide supervision to student interns.

Responsibilities include delivering therapy to neonates through geriatrics, collaborating with care teams, and counseling patients and families while maintaining department procedures and compliance

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology required.
• 2-3 years preferred in diagnosis and treatment of articulation, language, voice and fluency.
• 2-3 years preferred with a range of ages from neonates to geriatrics.
• 2-3 years preferred in behavioral management and patient/caregiver counseling.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Master's Degree in Speech/Language Pathology (Required)

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• 2 - 3 years Diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of typical disorders including articulation, language, voice and fluency. (Preferred)


• 2 - 3 years Knowledge of developmental norms, language acquisition, and early intervention. (Preferred)


• 2 - 3 years Experience with a range of ages including neonates-geriatrics. (Preferred)


• 2 - 3 years Behavioral management. (Preferred)


• 2 - 3 years Patient/caregiver counseling. (Preferred)

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSURES

• Required Certifications/Licensures: Speech Language Pathology (SLP), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathologist with current Georgia License
