Job summary

Youth Villages in Tennessee is seeking a Speech/Language Therapist to support students ages 6–17 with communication disorders that affect learning. This role focuses on language, articulation, fluency, and voice within school settings.

Duties include screening, developing IEPs with goals, delivering therapy in group or individual sessions, coordinating with teachers and parents, maintaining confidential records, and producing progress reports.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech/Language Pathology.
• Active SLP license in the applicable state.
• Experience as an SLP in a school setting preferred.
• Experience with children grades K-12 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screens students to identify speech/language disorders.
• Develops IEPs with long-term goals and short-term objectives.
• Designs therapy strategies to meet IEP goals.
• Conducts speech/language therapy in group or individual sessions.
• Maintains confidential records and generates progress reports every term.
• Explains assessment findings to parents and teachers.
• Consults with team members and participates in professional development.
