Avant Rehabilitation & Care Center in Trenton, NJ seeks a Speech Language Therapist (SLP) to join our team of health professionals in providing excellent health care in our facility.

The ideal candidate will diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders; develop individualized therapy plans; perform screenings; educate residents and families; maintain detailed records and report progress to medical staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in speech-language pathology.
• Valid state license in New Jersey.
• Strong understanding of speech-related conditions, causes, and treatments.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing, treating, and preventing speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Creating treatment and therapy plans to suit individualized needs.
• Performing screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
• Educating residents and family members about speech disorders and causes.
• Keeping detailed records relating to patient conditions, care plans, therapies, and progress.
• Reporting progress and current status to appropriate parties.

As a Speech Therapist (SLP) you are to:

• Diagnosing, treating, and preventing speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Creating treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualized needs of a diverse population of residents.
• Performing screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
• Educating residents and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events.
• Keeping detailed records relating to patient conditions, care plans, therapies, and progress.
• Reporting progress and current status to appropriate parties, which may include family members or medical professionals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in speech-language pathology.
• Valid state license or certification in the state of New Jersey.
• Strong understanding of speech-related conditions, causes, and treatments.
• Must be able to work in Trenton, NJ
