Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital Springfield is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Therapist (SLP) for a full-time days shift. The role emphasizes assessment, care planning, patient education, and collaboration with families to optimize rehabilitation outcomes.

The team supports professional growth in a fast-paced inpatient setting, focusing on strokes, brain injuries, and complex orthopedic cases. MO licensure and BLS completion are required within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology.
• Licensed Speech Therapist; MO Board licensure.
• BLS certification within 60 days of hire.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Accepting new grads.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
• Designs and implements a plan of care involving the patient and family.
• Educates patients and families regarding treatment plans and progress.
• Plans and assists with patient discharge from therapy services.
• Supervises activities of clinical fellows, students, and other support personnel.
• Other duties as assigned.
