Job description

Job Title: Clinical Coordinator - Speech-Language Pathology (Omaha Campus)

The Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) Department at Rockhurst University is expanding its Master of Science in SLP program to Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. We are seeking a Clinical Coordinator for the inaugural satellite SLP graduate program on the Creighton University campus. This is a full-time, 11-month, non-tenure track position, expected to begin in April 2025 (start date negotiable). The Clinical Coordinator will collaborate to plan and implement a high-quality clinical education program that meets accreditation and certification standards. The role involves engagement with clinical sites, educators, students, interprofessional groups, professional organizations, university administrators, and faculty. Note: This is not a remote position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Secure and manage clinical placements for graduate students.
  • Advise students and provide feedback on their clinical progress.
  • Assess clinical skills and support student development.
  • Instruct 2-3 clinical courses/labs each semester on the Creighton Campus.
  • Supervise community-based clinical practicum, if needed.
  • Manage daily clinical operations in Omaha.
  • Collaborate with department leadership to evaluate and enhance the clinical education program.
  • Serve as a point of contact for students and educators during clinical experiences.
  • Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Manage electronic documentation systems for tracking hours and competencies.
  • Support professional development of clinical educators through training.
  • Perform administrative duties related to clinical education development.
Position Requirements:
  • Master's or Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • At least 8 years of clinical experience in SLP.
  • ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP).
  • Nebraska state licensure or eligibility.
  • Minimum of 4 years supervising graduate students clinically.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a university setting.
  • Strong organizational and technological skills for data management.
  • Alignment with Jesuit educational mission.
  • Previous teaching experience (preferred).
