Job summary

Chatterbox Pediatric Therapy is seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our pediatric therapy team. You will work under the supervision of licensed SLPs to provide direct speech and language services to children at our Boise and Nampa locations.

This role offers a collaborative, family-centered environment where therapists work across disciplines. Candidates must meet Idaho SLPA licensure requirements and be eligible to complete the ASHA examination.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct speech and language therapy under supervision of a licensed SLP.
• Implement individualized treatment plans created by supervising SLP.
• Work with pediatric clients with varied speech and language needs.
• Create engaging, play-based therapy sessions toward goals.
• Collect and document data on client progress.
• Collaborate with supervising SLPs on progress and needs.
• Collaborate with other therapy professionals as part of a pediatric team.
• Build positive relationships with children and families.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Follow state and clinic guidelines on SLPA supervision.

Locations: Boise & Nampa, Idaho
Pay: $24–$30 per hour

About the Position:

Chatterbox Pediatric Therapy is looking for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our pediatric Speech Therapy team!

This is a wonderful opportunity for an SLPA who loves working with children and wants to grow their skills in a supportive, collaborative pediatric environment. You will work closely with experienced Speech-Language Pathologists while helping children develop the communication skills they need to connect, learn, and thrive.

Our clinics bring Speech, Occupational, and Physical Therapy together under one roof, giving our therapists the opportunity to collaborate across disciplines and provide individualized, family-centered care.

This position can be flexible, with the opportunity to provide services at both our Boise and Nampa clinics.

What You'll Do:

• Provide direct speech and language therapy under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising SLP.
• Work with pediatric clients with a variety of speech, language, communication, and developmental needs.
• Create engaging, play-based therapy sessions that help children work toward meaningful goals.
• Collect and document data related to client progress.
• Communicate and collaborate with supervising SLPs regarding treatment progress and client needs.
• Work alongside Speech, Occupational, and Physical Therapy professionals as part of a collaborative pediatric team.
• Build positive relationships with children and families.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Follow all applicable state, professional, and clinic guidelines regarding SLPA scope of practice and supervision.

Qualifications:

Candidates must:

• Meet the educational requirements necessary for Speech-Language Pathology Assistant licensure in Idaho.
• Hold a current Idaho SLPA license.
• Have completed or be eligible to complete the required ASHA Speech-Language Pathology Assistant examination.
• Have a passion for working with children and families.
• Demonstrate strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.

Pediatric clinical experience is preferred but not required.
