Job summary

Santa Clara Unified School District is seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to support students with speech and language development within the school setting. The SLPA will assist in providing therapy activities and data entry for session management and Medi-Cal billing.

The candidate should have a high school diploma, complete an SLPA program or hold a BA in speech-language pathology or communication disorders with some experience, and possess a California SLPA license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required or equivalent.
• Completion of a Speech/Language Pathology Assistant program or BA in related field with 6 months educational setting experience.
• Valid California SLP-A license in good standing.
• Valid California Class C driver’s license and auto insurance.
• CPR/First Aid or BLS certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Direct activities with students to develop pre-language and language skills.
• Support speech-language pathology services under supervision.
• Enter data for session management and Medi-Cal billing.
• Provide general support duties for the SLPA program.
