Career Links is looking for a part-time Speech-Language Pathology Apprentice (SLPA) to work in school settings, 2–3 days per week, in-person. You will assist licensed SLPs in delivering therapy, supporting students with communication challenges, and contributing to their academic and social development.

The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers, parents, and other staff, with supervision from licensed SLPs and opportunities for mentorship and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or AA/AS Leveling Program.
• Active SLPA license or certification (or eligibility) in the state of practice.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students under SLP supervision.
• Assist with the implementation of IEPs and therapy goals.
• Prepare therapy materials and activities aligned with treatment plans.
• Document student progress, maintain service logs, and assist with reporting.
• Collaborate with SLPs, teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student success.
• Support the use of evidence-based strategies and therapeutic technologies, including AAC.
• Help maintain equipment and organize therapy spaces.
• Participate in professional development and training activities as required.

About the Role

We’re seeking dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathology Apprentices (SLPAs) for part-time, school-based assignments (2–3 days per week). Under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you will help deliver therapy services, support students with communication challenges, and play an essential role in their academic and social development.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students under SLP supervision.
• Assist with the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and therapy goals.
• Prepare therapy materials and activities aligned with treatment plans.
• Document student progress, maintain service logs, and assist with reporting.
• Collaborate with SLPs, teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student success.
• Support the use of evidence-based strategies and therapeutic technologies, including AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication).
• Help maintain equipment and organize therapy spaces.
• Participate in professional development and training activities as required.

Qualifications

Required

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or completion of an AA/AS Leveling Program.
• Active SLPA license or certification (or eligibility) in the state of practice.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.

Preferred

• Previous experience in a school setting.
• Familiarity with IEPs and educational documentation.
• Cultural competency in working with diverse student populations.
• Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.
