Job summary

Wolfson Children's Hospital in Jacksonville, FL, seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to join our Wolfson's Rehab team in a full-time, day shift at the Downtown campus. Experience with Modified Barium Swallow studies and ASHA CCC required; state licensure and BLS are also required.

This is an adult acute care setting. You will evaluate and treat patients, educate families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team; strong EMR documentation and time management skills are essential;

Qualifications

• Master of Science or Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Experience with Modified Barium Swallow Studies in acute care
• 1+ years of acute care experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and treats patients with diverse diagnoses in an acute care setting.
• Provides extensive patient and family education.
• Participates in multidisciplinary rehab team with nursing, physicians, and therapy staff.
• Maintains accurate and timely EMR documentation and time management.
• Occasional weekend and holiday coverage rotations.

This position opportunity is set to work a full-time, day shift schedule at our main campus Downtown. This position is expected to participate in team weekend and holiday coverage rotations.This is a full-time opportunity working in an adult acute care setting.
