Qualifications

• Valid PA certification
• Experience working with school-age population preferred
• Strong instructional and classroom management skills
• High level of personal organization and planning
• Ability to develop rigorous lesson plans and assessments

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with administrators and staff in planning for and leading special education students to learning success
• Develop, modify, provide and assess specialized instruction based on standards
• Design coherent instruction using prescribed units and co-teaching structures
• Create and continuously update learning resources and participate in professional development
• Maintain accurate records and report student progress in compliance with policies
• Communicate with families regularly and respond to inquiries in a timely manner
• Operate in a classroom environment that promotes respect, engagement and high expectations
