Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or similarly-titled area accepted by ASHA.
• Licensed, certified or credentialed as required in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Help patients communicate, swallow, and address speech disorders.
• Design and oversee rehab plans and ensure effective delivery of therapy services.
• Collaborate with patients to implement plans and monitor progress.
• Adapt therapy to patient needs and settings, keeping activity and movement in the day.
• Work with peers and refer to other care as needed to promote patient thriving.
• Educate patients and caregivers to promote independence and productive communication.

Education
