Job summary

Andover Public Schools seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide services for students with communication disorders. You will assess, develop IEP goals, and deliver therapy in collaboration with teachers and families.

Applicants should hold a Master's in Communication Disorders, MA DESE certification, MA state license, and ASHA CCC. Experience with moderate to severe disorders and young children preferred.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Communication Disorders.
  • Massachusetts DESE certification as teacher of children with speech and language disorders.
  • Massachusetts state license.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence.
  • Experience with children with moderate and severe communication disorders; young children preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide speech and language development services for a wide range of disabilities.
  • Consult and co-teach with classroom teachers and recommend communication systems/approaches that maximize student growth.
  • Initiate and maintain parent contact.
  • Provide diagnostic testing and reports for IEP evaluations and specific goals/objectives.
  • Attend IEP evaluation meetings as required.
  • Provide data-driven as well as narrative progress reports on all students on caseload.
  • Perform other duties relating to the program as required.

Skills

Experience with speech disorders

Education

Master's degree in Communication Disorders
Massachusetts DESE teacher certification (speech-language disorders)
Massachusetts state license
ASHA CCC (Clinical Competence)
