Job summary

KARIER is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a Bronx, NY school setting. The role involves evaluating speech and language needs, planning IEPs, and delivering therapies to students with disabilities.

The position requires an SLP with NY licensure and CCC-SLP, plus relevant pediatric experience is preferred. The role follows a standard school calendar with day shifts and full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• New York licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
• CCC-SLP certification from ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association)

Responsibilities

• Assessment & Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive evaluations using standardized tests and observations to identify and assess speech and language difficulties.
• Intervention Planning: Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) with specific goals, therapy strategies, and measurable outcomes tailored to each student.
• Therapy Delivery: Provide individual or group therapy using techniques like articulation drills, language stimulation, and play-based interventions.
• Collaboration & Consultation: Work with teachers, parents, and professionals to support student communication needs and overall development.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain progress records, write reports for IEP meetings, and communicate findings.

Education

Current New York licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist

Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
