Job summary

Ascend Rehab Services in Fremont is seeking a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Supervisor to support K–12 students and mentor SLPAs and CFs. This leadership role combines clinical care with team development in a school setting.

You will supervise evaluations, develop IEP goals, provide direct therapy, and collaborate with teachers and therapists to ensure high-quality services. This position offers mentorship, growth opportunities, and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Active CA SLP License (or eligibility)
• Experience or interest in supervising SLPAs and CF mentorship
• Pediatric or school-based experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct speech and language evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for students
• Provide direct therapy services and support implementation of evidence-based interventions in school settings
• Supervise, mentor, and collaborate with SLPAs with clinical guidance and oversight
• Provide CF supervision and mentorship to emerging clinicians
• Develop and implement IEP goals related to speech, language, social communication, pragmatics, and AAC needs
• Participate in IEP meetings and communicate with families; collaborate with teachers and school staff
• Maintain accurate documentation and supervision requirements, ensuring compliance with guidelines

School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Supervisor

We are seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to support K–12 students in a school setting in the Fremont area while also serving in a mentorship and supervisory capacity for SLPAs and Clinical Fellows (CFs). This is an excellent opportunity for an SLP looking to expand into leadership, clinical mentorship, and team development while continuing to make a meaningful impact with students.

What You’ll Do:

• Conduct speech and language evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for students with a range of communication needs
• Provide direct therapy services (individual and group) and support implementation of evidence-based interventions across school settings
• Supervise, mentor, and collaborate with SLPAs, providing clinical guidance, support, and oversight to ensure quality service delivery and compliance
• Provide Clinical Fellowship (CF) supervision, mentorship, feedback, and professional development support to emerging clinicians
• Develop and implement IEP goals related to speech, language, social communication, pragmatics, and AAC needs as appropriate
• Participate in IEP meetings, communicate with families, and collaborate closely with teachers, OTs, psychologists, and school staff to support student success
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, supervision requirements, and compliance with school and state guidelines

What We’re Looking For:

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Active CA SLP License (or eligibility)
• Experience or interest in supervising SLPAs and/or providing CF mentorship preferred
• Prior pediatric or school-based experience preferred
