Job summary

Your leadership will help the SLPA succeed while allowing students, families, and school teams to receive responsive and dependable support.What You’ll DoVirtual Supervision and CollaborationProvide consistent virtual supervision of the SLPA’s direct treatment services.Review data collection, treatment documentation, progress notes, and other clinical records.Meet with the SLPA each week to review student progress, clinical questions, documentation, and upcoming priorities.Remain reasonably available to provide clinical guidance and support during scheduled service delivery.Review and sign required SLPA documentation and verify monthly supervision logs. Student Services and Clinical OversightComplete the initial clinical contact, gather baseline information, and establish appropriate plans and goals before services are delegated to the SLPA.Conduct and interpret speech-language evaluations.Complete evaluation reports and other required documentation.Develop and update IEP goals and speech-language service recommendations.Review student progress reports and determine whether services or goals need to be adjusted.Ensure that delegated responsibilities are appropriate for the SLPA’s training, experience, and permitted scope of practice.School CollaborationParticipate in IEP meetings virtually or in person as needed.Collaborate with teachers, school administrators, special education professionals, families, and other members of the student support team.Travel to assigned Springfield-area school locations up to three days per month for evaluations, IEP meetings, direct observation, and school-team collaboration.Complete documentation required by The Arc, participating schools, Missouri DESE, and applicable licensing standards.
