Job description

BAYADA Home Health Care

is currently seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist, SLP for a per diem opportunity performing home health visits for our office located in Roxboro, North Carolina.

Our office services adult and geriatric patients in homes throughout Caswell, Person, and Orange counties.

Prior home care experience as a Speech Language Pathologist, SLP, is a plus but not required. As a home care Speech Language Pathologist, SLP, you will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary healthcare team that provides rehabilitative care and skilled nursing to clients, enabling them to receive the medical care necessary to remain at home.

Speech Language Pathologist, SLP Responsibilities:

1. Make home visits to clients in designated geographic territories.
2. Perform evaluations to assess, diagnose, and provide therapeutic interventions for clients with speech, language, communication, or swallowing difficulties.
3. Develop and revise treatment plans based on evaluations, physician's orders, and goals.
4. Participate in multidisciplinary care planning and continually assess and adapt therapy plans.
5. Educate patients and families on rehabilitative care and activities to promote health, safety, and independence.
6. Document observations, interventions, and evaluations accurately using electronic medical records.

Speech Language Pathologist, SLP Qualifications:

1. Current license as a Speech Language Pathologist in North Carolina.
2. Possession of a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, or equivalent education and work experience, with pending certification examination.
3. Solid computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records preferred.
