Job summary

Vivo Healthcare West Orange in Ocoee, FL is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate residents, develop care plans, and administer therapy in a skilled nursing environment.

You will collaborate with nursing and therapy staff, supervise aides, participate in CQI activities, and ensure accurate patient documentation and timely billing. This is a full-time role with competitive pay.

Background screening and Florida licensure verification are required during onboarding.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid licensure as a Florida Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
• Experience in skilled nursing settings preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Perform patient evaluations and develop care plans for speech-language pathology.
• Direct and administer therapy modalities as prescribed by a physician.
• Coordinate with OT/PT aides and supervise support staff.
• Contribute to CQI and infection control programs.
• Ensure patient charges are accurate and submitted promptly.

Job Summary:

The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for patient evaluations, care planning, directing, and administering Occupational modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician. The ST administers treatments and physical agents as prescribed by a referring physician in an effort to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability. The ST assists patients in reaching their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. The Speech Language Pathologist ensures patient charges are accurate and submitted in a timely manner. Speech Language Pathologists coordinate, delegate and supervise responsibilities assigned to support staff (OT/PT Aide, etc.) The speech language Pathologist participates in operational aspects of the department, contributing to performance improvement and CQI activities. Speech Language Pathologists participate in all infection control, departmental equipment training, organizational safety and fire safety programs.
