Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) ‐ School

Start Date: 8/18/2025     Available Shifts: 7.5 D     Pay Rate: $1314.29 ‐ $1440.13

AMN Healthcare is partnering with a well‐respected school district in Joliet, Illinois, to hire a highly motivated and passionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a contract position. The SLP will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to provide comprehensive speech and language services supporting students' academic and social development.

1. Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication disorders.
2. Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) with appropriate goals.
3. Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
4. Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
5. Train and provide resources to teachers and staff on integrating speech therapy goals into classroom activities.

Required Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology (SLP) or related field
• State SLP License in the state of residence
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
• Experience with virtual SLP services

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a school setting, early childhood, or pediatrics
• Strong knowledge of speech and language development, assessment tools, and therapeutic techniques
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate with educators, parents, and community members
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with regulations
