NOW HIRING Speech Language Patholgist for 2024-2025 School Year!:
Schedule: PRN, Part Time, or Full-Time- You decide how many hours you want to work!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment services to students with communication disorders, including language, speech, voice, fluency, and pragmatic disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of students, in collaboration with school staff and parents.
- Provide consultation and training services to teachers and other educational professionals to improve their understanding of communication disorders and how to support student development.
- Document and maintain accurate and organized records of student progress, assessments, and treatment plans, according to school policies and professional standards.
- Attend and participate in team meetings, IEP meetings, and other school-based meetings to collaborate with colleagues and ensure that the students' needs are addressed.
- Stay informed about current research, trends, and best practices in communication disorders, and integrate this knowledge into the practice to improve services and outcomes for students.
- Maintain professional licensure and certification standards required by the state and national organizations.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited institution.
- State licensure or eligibility for licensure in speech-language pathology.
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. CF's Welcome too!!
- Experience working with children with communication disorders in a school-based setting preferred.
- Effective communication skills, oral and written.
- Knowledge of current research and best practices in communication disorders.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
