Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current Michigan SLP license.
• ASHA certification or eligibility.
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
• Patient-centered approach.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.
• Previous healthcare, SNF or post-acute rehabilitation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide skilled therapy for speech, language, communication, cognition and swallowing.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment as appropriate.
• Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation.
• Communicate with patients, families, physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
• Participate in care planning and discharge planning.
• Educate patients, caregivers and facility staff.
• Provide in-service training and support restorative/functional maintenance programs when appropriate.
• Help patients maximize their independence and quality of life.

What You'll Do
