Position: Speech Language Pathologist - Adult Neuro

Type: Flexible, PRN

Locations: Houston, Downtown, Med Center, Sugarland

Who we are looking for:

• An experienced SLP, enthusiastic about providing functional rehabilitation in real-life settings
• Ready to treat patients in environments like kitchens, grocery stores, outdoor activities, and workplaces
• Thrives in autonomous work and values collaboration with a team of dynamic therapists
• Minimum of 3 years' experience preferred

Responsibilities

What you will do:

• Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
• Re-assess treatment effectiveness, attend staffing meetings and family conferences
• Perform discharge evaluations, and provide safety recommendations, referrals, and education resources
• Communicate patient needs and progress to the treatment team, physicians, patients, and families
• Collaborate with other disciplines to improve patient outcomes

Qualifications

What you will need:

• Master’s Degree from an accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• Valid SLP license in practice state(s)
• Current CPR Certification
• At least one year of experience as an SLP
• Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques for neurological injuries (preferred)
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including moving and transferring patients
• Physical ability to perform duties, including lifting up to 100 pounds, standing, walking, and other physical activities
• Health screening as required by policies and regulations
