Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for per diem/PRN coverage at our St. Louis North location. The role offers 1–2 days per week (Mon-Fri, 8a–3:30/4p) with a $55 PRN rate and a $2,500 sign-on bonus.

You will evaluate and treat communication and swallowing disorders and collaborate with Rehab staff to support patient recovery. Minimum qualifications include a current state licensure and BLS, with CCC in Speech-Language Pathology preferred.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist required.
• BLS certification or completion in first 90 days of employment required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive evaluation of communication skills and swallowing function and goal-directed treatment.
• Participate in monitoring the quality of services provided by Rehab Therapy Department.
• Participate in peer review for staff performance and appraisals.
• Assist in development of the SLP role in programs and services, and revise departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist in maintaining an adequate stock of supplies.
• Share professional knowledge and alert the Manager to educational needs.

Compensation: $55/PRN Rate

Minimum Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist required.
• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association.
