Job summary

Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital Springfield is seeking a Speech-Language Therapist (SLP) to join our team on a PRN Days schedule at our 60-bed rehab facility.

You will assess, plan, educate, and discharge patients, supervise students, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• MO licensure as Speech-Language Therapist required.
• BLS certification within 60 days of hire required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Accepting new grads.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
• Designs and implements a plan of care with input from patient and family.
• Educates patients and families regarding treatment plans and progress.
• Plans and assists with patient discharge from therapy services.
• Supervises activities of clinical fellows, students, and other support personnel.
• Other duties as assigned.

Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital provides inpatient rehabilitation services for patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries and other conditions. Our Unit is a very fast-paced yet fun environment with endless opportunities to learn and grow!

How You'll Contribute:

• Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.

• Education: Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology Required
• Licenses: Licensed Speech Therapist; Current licensure with MO Board of Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 60 days of hire
