Speech Language Pathologist, SLP - PRN (Healthcare)

Job Responsibilities:
- Develop effective treatment plans and obtain approval from the referring physician.
- Treat patients according to the physician’s treatment plan.
- Supervise Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants in patient care activities, following state practice acts.
- Communicate patient progress, issues, and plans with supervisors and healthcare team members.
- Participate in Patient Care Conferences, Utilization Review meetings, and Rehabilitation Conferences as needed.
- Conduct in-service training for staff members.
- Document evaluations, treatment notes, progress reports, and recertification documentation in compliance with state practice acts and payer requirements.
- Record treatment modifications as per policies and procedures.
- Educate patients’ families and nursing staff on maintenance programs and caregiver training for discharge readiness.
- Participate in discharge planning processes.
- Serve as a clinical preceptor for CFY/RFP Speech-Language Pathologists and student programs.
- Ensure compliance with the Speech Language Pathology and Audiology Bureau State Practice Act and facility policies.
- Maintain positive, effective, and appropriate relationships with patients, families, staff, and colleagues.
Qualifications:
Master’s or Doctorate degree in Speech-Language Therapy is required.
