Sigma Health Rehab is recruiting a per diem Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team at Far Rockaway Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Far Rockaway, NY. The role offers flexible schedules, mentorship, and weekly pay in a state-of-the-art rehab setting.

Ideal candidates have a NYS SLP license and a graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology. New grads are welcome; sponsorship is discussed for immigration pathways where applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited SLP program.
• Current New York State SLP license.

Responsibilities

• Administer speech therapy evaluations and examinations to diagnose residents and develop treatment plans.
• Monitor residents' progress and adjust treatments accordingly.
• Record information on the initial evaluation, treatment, progress, and discharge of clients.
• Observe and assess progress and prepare detailed reports.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and ensure proper information handling.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, or standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members and contribute to a team effort.

Roles and expectations of a great therapist include:
