Job summary

Harbour View Senior Living in North Bergen, New Jersey is seeking a Per Diem Speech-Language Pathologist to join the rehabilitation team in a skilled nursing facility. You will evaluate and treat residents with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in a supportive, patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities include developing treatment plans, documenting progress in the EMR, participating in care plan meetings, and supervising assistants if applicable.

Qualifications

• Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in New Jersey (or eligible).
• CCC-SLP certification preferred.
• Experience in SNF/geriatrics is a plus.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Per Diem Speech‑Language Pathologist to join our dynamic rehabilitation team in our skilled nursing facility in North Bergen, New Jersey. What You’ll Do

• Evaluate and treat residents in a subacute and long‑term care setting with a variety of communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
• Develop personalized treatment plans to improve speech, language, voice, cognition, and dysphagia management
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and the interdisciplinary team
• Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner using our electronic medical records system
• Participate in care plan meetings and family conferences
• Provide compassionate, patient‑centered care in a supportive team environment
• Supervise Speech‑Language Pathology Assistants (if applicable) as needed
• Report directly to the Director of Rehabilitation

What We’re Looking For

• Active Speech‑Language Pathologist license in the state of New Jersey (or eligible to obtain)
• Previous experience in SNF, long‑term care, or geriatrics is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Compassionate, positive attitude with a genuine desire to make a difference in residents’ lives
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) preferred
