Location : Pomona, CA Facility : 412-Bed Magnet / Teaching / Level II Trauma Center Schedule : Full-Time, Monday-Friday Day Shift

The Opportunity :

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a skilled and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) with pediatric expertise to join our esteemed partner facility in Pomona, CA. This is an exceptional opportunity to work within a 412-bed, Magnet-recognized, Level II Trauma Center and teaching hospital, providing specialized care to a pediatric outpatient population. Your Impact (Responsibilities) :

As a Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist, you will provide direct patient care, focusing on restoring function for children with communication and swallowing disorders. Your key responsibilities include :

• Organizing and conducting medically prescribed speech therapy programs tailored to pediatric patients.
• Performing comprehensive evaluations assessing pediatric swallow, speech, language, cognitive-communication, and voice functions.
• Developing individualized treatment plans with functional, patient-centered goals.
• Implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
• Collaborating with families and potentially other members of the care team.
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation within the Cerner EMR system.
• Adhering to all departmental and hospital policies and procedures.

Key Requirements (Qualifications) :

• License / Education : Current California SLP License and graduation from an accredited SLP program (Master's level) required. Pending licenses are not accepted.
• Experience : Minimum 2 years of pediatric outpatient SLP experience required, including specific experience with pediatric swallow, speech, cognitive, and voice disorders. First-time travelers welcome if minimum experience met.
• Certification : Current BLS certification required.

Assignment Snapshot :

• Shift : 5x8 Hour Day Shifts (Choice of 07 : 00-16 : 00 or 08 : 00-17 : 00), Monday-Friday.
• Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week. (Note : Client reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts during a 13-week assignment) .
• Local Candidates : Accepted.
• RTO : Maximum of 6 shifts allowed per 13-week assignment; must be requested upfront.
• Facility Type : Acute Care Hospital with Magnet Recognition, Teaching Affiliation, and Level II Trauma Center designation.
• Charting : Cerner.
• Dress Code : Business casual or scrubs with a white lab coat.
• Parking : Free parking available.
