Job summary

Arbor Rehabilitation and Healthcare Services is seeking a committed Speech-Language Pathologist for a part-time role in Medina, Ohio. The successful candidate will develop and implement individualized therapy plans to restore and enhance communication abilities for residents in a skilled nursing facility setting.

Requirements include a valid license to practice speech therapy and strong communication, observation, and problem-solving skills. Experience in SNF environments is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to observe and assess patient needs carefully.
• Problem-solving abilities for therapy planning and adjustments.
• Basic math skills for documentation and scoring.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, evaluating, and treating residents in need of speech-language pathology services.
• Completing evaluations, re-certifications, and discharge documentation.
• Conducting quarterly screens and evaluations for long-term residents.
• Assisting with insurance authorizations and appeals.
• Maintaining a clean, organized work environment and contributing to facility needs.
