Job summary

Norman Regional in Oklahoma is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide initial and ongoing assessments and develop care plans for patients.

You will deliver therapy using standard techniques, document services, and educate patients and families. A Master’s degree and Oklahoma license (or eligible for licensure) and ASHA CCC or CFY are required, with BLS certification.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Previous hospital experience and dysphagia experience preferred; Medicare documentation experience preferred.
  • For outpatient settings: experience with outpatients, dysphagia, Vital Stim certification and Medicare documentation preferred.
  • Current Oklahoma license for Speech-Language Pathology or SLP license eligible with a temporary license; ASHA CCC or CFY required; BLS training required during orientation.

Responsibilities

  • Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition and establishes a plan of care.
  • Performs therapy programs utilizing standard speech therapy techniques as appropriate for the age and disability of the patient.
  • Documents delivery of Speech Therapy services.
  • Educates patients, family, caregivers and significant others

Must have ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence or complete with in the first year under a licensed therapist as a CFY. Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.
