Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - PRN

Here, you will provide advanced treatment and comprehensive care to address the medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges faced by individuals with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputations, and multiple traumas.

Responsibilities

Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans according to patient needs and physician directions. Responsible for delegating and directing all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients. Ensures the design of functional treatment programs to facilitate effective return to community activities. Serves as an educator for patients, families, students, co-workers, and self. Performs other professional duties related to patient care, development of therapy services, and program design.

Specific Duties
  • Evaluate assigned patients and establish appropriate treatment goals and programs.
  • Coordinate treatment programs with other clinical/therapeutic services and available community resources.
  • Develop comprehensive goals for patient treatment to maximize outcomes and facilitate return to community activities.
Qualifications

You will demonstrate an understanding of patient needs, ensuring each patient feels informed, understood, and heard. You are passionate about providing high-quality care and are an inventive problem solver who thrives in a dynamic environment.

Minimum Requirements
  • Graduation from a program meeting the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association’s academic and practicum requirements for the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
  • Valid license issued by the state of practice.
  • At least two (2) years of progressively responsible experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
