Overview

Position: Speech Language Pathologist (CCC- SLP)

Location: Carroll Hospital in Westminster MD

Schedule: Per Diem / PRN / As Needed

Compensation: starting at $55.00/Hr.

NovaCare / LifeBridge Health in Westminster MD is the inpatient rehabilitation provider for Carroll Hospital. This is a 153 bed inpatient hospital seeking local PRN or per diem speech language pathologist (SLP) for as needed coverage.

We have a large clinical team in need of coverage for vacation, sick or emergencies. There is no set schedule with PRN/ per diem. We are looking to build a local per diem pool of experienced inpatient occupational therapists. Our hospital is open year-round including most holidays.

Position Summary

Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plans in accordance with the patient’s needs and physician direction. Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients. Ensures the design of functional treatment programs allowing for an effective return to community activities. Serves as an educator of patients, families, students, co-workers, and self. Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline-specific therapy services, and design of program delivery.

We are unable to offer PTO or medical benefits if you are working less than 32 hours but we CAN discuss your participation in our local and virtual CEU accrediting courses once you are on board.

Responsibilities

  • Build Relationships: Provide quality patient care while maintaining a positive level of interaction with centers and patients.
  • Collaborative Approach: Coordinate treatment program in conjunction with other clinical/therapeutic services.
  • High Standard of Care: Evaluate assigned patients and establish appropriate treatment goals and treatment programs.
  • Personalized Treatment: Develop comprehensive goals for patient treatment to maximize outcomes and provide ongoing evaluation of their status and goals.

Qualifications

  • Meet American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) minimum standards for initiation of Clinical Fellowship Year including but not limited to 36 credit hours in prescribed study.
  • State SLP licensure required.
  • ASHA certification is required.
  • 300 hours in prescribed clinical practicum experience required.
