Job summary

Evolve Therapy Services is hiring a Speech Language Pathologist for an in-house Skilled Nursing Facility in Paterson, NJ. This PRN role offers Weekday or Weekend hours to support resident care and therapy services.

You will plan, organize, and direct Speech Language Pathology services, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and CMS standards while maintaining high-quality resident care and effective collaboration with the care team.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology is required.
• Certificate of Clinical Competency is required.
• Must have an active SLP license in the state(s) of practice.
• Ongoing continuing education to maintain licensure and certification.

Responsibilities

• To provide quality speech therapy services and initiate referrals when appropriate, in accordance with established standards of practice, therapy department procedures and productivity standards.
• To evaluate and obtain data necessary for treatment planning and implementation.
• To develop a treatment plan that includes a target list, short-term, and long-term goals.
• Instructs patient, family, and staff in appropriate speech-language procedures to allow carry over of therapeutic remediation and goals in daily activities.
• To complete compliant and medically necessary documentation from CMS expectations in NetHealth EMR systems.
• Oversight and implementation of proper protocols for FEES/MBS with coordination of site programs.
• Participants in screening protocols for establishing needs of residents are being met timely and with clinical excellence.

Education

Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology

Certificate of Clinical Competency

Active SLP license in state(s) of practice

Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain licensure and certification

Job Purpose:

To assist in planning, organizing, developing, and directing Speech Language Pathology services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be direction by Administrator, to assure the highest degree of quality resident care is always maintained.
