The role requires delivering comprehensive speech therapy services,Documentation per CMS in NetHealth EMR, and collaboration with site teams to meet patient goals.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
• Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC-SLP) required.
• Active state licensure in practicing states.
• Ongoing continuing education to maintain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality speech therapy services in accordance with standards.
• Evaluate and gather data for treatment planning and implementation.
• Develop treatment plans with target lists and goals.
• Instruct patients, families, and staff to carry over therapy goals.
• Complete CMS-compliant documentation in NetHealth EMR.
• Oversee FEES/MBS protocols and site program coordination.
• Participate in resident screening to meet needs promptly and excellently.

Education

Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology

CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competency)

Active SLP license in practicing states

Continuing education to maintain licensure

Job Position: Speech Language Pathologist for an In-house Skilled Nursing Facility

Job Type: Full Time, Part Time, or PRN

Job Purpose: To assist in planning, organizing, developing, and directing Speech Language Pathology services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be direction by Administrator, to assure the highest degree of quality resident care is always maintained.

Job Functions

• To provide quality speech therapy services and initiate referrals when appropriate, in accordance with established standards of practice, therapy department procedures and productivity standards.
• To evaluate and obtain data necessary for treatment planning and implementation
• To develop a treatment plan that includes a target list, short-term, and long-term goals
• Instructs patient, family, and staff in appropriate speech-language procedures to allow carry over of therapeutic remediation and goals in daily activities
• To complete compliant and medically necessary documentation from CMS expectations in NetHealth EMR systems
• Oversight and implementation of proper protocols for FEES/MBS with coordination of site programs
• Participants in screening protocols for establishing needs of residents are being met timely and with clinical excellence

Education & Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
• Certificate of Clinical Competency
• MUST have active SLP license in state(s) of practice.
• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification
