Qualifications

Job Summary:The Speech Language Therapist (SLP) will diagnose, plan, and treat speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive disorders. The Speech Language Pathologist will also be responsible for documenting patient treatments, changes in condition and other pertinent information as required.

Duties/Responsibilities:

o Assure all treatment is delivered in accordance with an established plan of care

o Provide clinical support and instruct patients, families, and caregivers

o Measures & records patient’s communicative, cognitive, and swallowing functions

o Monitors patient responses to treatments and makes modifications during treatment sessions as necessary

o Codes information for billing purposes; performs daily billing

o Completes documentation in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations

Skills:

o SNF/Long term care experience preferred

o Current knowledge of treatment practices

o Knowledge of Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred

o Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities

Required licensure:

o Current License as Speech Language Therapist in the State of Pennsylvania. Must be in good standing.

o Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association
