Job Position: Speech Language Pathologist for an In-house Skilled Nursing Facility.

Job Type: PRN.

Job Purpose: To assist in planning, organizing, developing, and directing Speech Language Pathology services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to ensure the highest quality of resident care.

Job Functions include:

  • Providing quality speech therapy services and initiating referrals when appropriate, in accordance with established standards of practice, therapy department procedures, and productivity standards.
  • Evaluating and obtaining data necessary for treatment planning and implementation.
  • Developing a treatment plan that includes target lists, short-term, and long-term goals.
  • Instructing patients, families, and staff in appropriate speech-language procedures to facilitate carry-over of therapeutic goals in daily activities.
  • Completing compliant and medically necessary documentation in accordance with CMS expectations in NetHealth EMR systems.
  • Overseeing and implementing proper protocols for FEES/MBS with coordination of site programs.
  • Participating in screening protocols to ensure timely and clinically excellent assessment of residents' needs.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competency.
  • Active SLP license in the state(s) of practice.
