Responsibilities

Speech-Language Pathologists evaluate and provide skilled therapy to individuals in home settings, which may include single or multi-family homes, assisted living, independent living, or memory care facilities. They treat patients with language impairments, motor speech disorders, dysphagia, cognitive communication difficulties, voice disorders, and those requiring augmentative or alternative communication. Often, patients have experienced strokes or have progressive diseases like Parkinson’s or dementia.

Qualifications

• Valid state driver’s license
• Automobile liability insurance
• Dependable transportation in good condition
• Ability to drive in all weather conditions
• Current licensure as an SLP in the state of employment
• Must wear seat belts while driving
