Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Middletown is seeking a Speech Pathologist to provide comprehensive assessment, treatment planning, and delivery of speech-language pathology services within a hospital-based setting. You will evaluate and treat patients with communication and swallowing disorders, develop individualized plans, and monitor progress in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires licensure, CCC certification, and CPR (within 30 days).

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• CCC certification required.
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Master's degree preferred, or Bachelor's degree with field experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating, assessing, developing, and administering personalized treatment plans for patients with speech and language rehabilitation needs.
• Identifying issues and modifying speech therapy treatment if necessary.
• Tracking and documenting patient performance, progress, and response to treatment.
• Celebrating patient victories along the way.
