Job summary

The Speech Language Pathologist at St. Mary's Hospital within Bon Secours Mercy Health diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders across all ages, designing individualized treatment plans and applying diverse therapy techniques.

Qualifications

• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the current practice state.
• CCC-SLP certification is preferred at hire and required within one year.

Responsibilities

• Assess referrals, patient conditions, and histories to determine therapy needs.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations, re-evaluations, and develop treatment and discharge plans.
• Administer prescribed speech-language pathology treatments tailored to each patient.
• Design rehabilitative programs addressing language, voice, fluency, and cognitive-communication.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on home therapy procedures.
• Collaborate with healthcare team and participate in patient care conferences.
