Responsibilities

What you will do:

• Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
• Re-assess treatment effectiveness regularly, attend staffing meetings and family conferences
• Perform discharge evaluations, recommend home and community safety measures, and provide referral and educational resources
• Communicate patient needs and progress to the treatment team, physicians, patients, and families
• Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure coordinated care and improve patient outcomes

Qualifications

What you will need:

• Master's Degree from an accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• Valid Speech Language Pathology license in the state(s) of practice
• Current CPR Certification
• At least one year's experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques for complex neurological injuries preferred
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including moving, lifting, and transferring patients up to 100 pounds following safety procedures
• Fine motor skills, visual acuity, and ability to stand/walk for extended periods
• Physical requirements include pushing/pulling, bending, reaching, kneeling, and positioning
• Pre-employment health screening may be required
