Position Summary

The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) provides skilled therapy services to residents, including evaluation, development, and implementation of treatment plans to address communication and swallowing disorders.

Responsibilities
  • Perform speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing evaluations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on resident needs and goals.
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation of evaluations, treatments, and progress.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team on care planning and discharge recommendations.
  • Educate residents, families, and staff on communication strategies and safe swallowing techniques.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in speech-language pathology from an accredited program (master's preferred per state requirements).
  • Current, unencumbered ST or SLP license in the state of Tennessee.
  • Long-term care/skilled nursing experience preferred.
