Coosa Valley Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a supportive therapy team. This role emphasizes evaluations, evidence-based treatment plans, and dysphagia management in a geriatric setting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current SLP with ASHA CCC certification in Alabama.
• 2+ years of experience in skilled nursing or similar setting (preferred).
• Expertise in dysphagia management and cognitive rehabilitation.
• Passion for geriatric care and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for speech, language, cognition, and swallowing.
• Develop and implement personalized, evidence-based treatment plans.
• Specialize in dysphagia management and cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation.
• Educate patients, families, and staff on communication and swallowing strategies.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives in patient care.
