Responsibilities

As a Speech Language Pathologist, you help patients regain their communication and swallowing abilities. You are responsible for designing and delivering effective rehab plans, working closely with patients to execute these plans.

You are a healer and a helper, focusing on the individual needs of each patient to restore, reinforce, and enhance their speech and communication skills.

You adapt to various patient needs and find joy in diverse work settings, from equipment cleaning to reporting and meetings. You thrive in a dynamic environment that keeps you moving throughout the day.

You collaborate with your peers and make referrals to ensure patients receive comprehensive care.

You also train patients and caregivers to promote independence and productivity.

Qualifications

  1. A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or a related field acceptable to ASHA.
  2. A Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA or eligibility to participate as an ASHA Clinical Fellow. Candidates eligible to obtain this certificate will also be considered.
  3. Licensed, certified, or credentialed as required in the state of practice.
