Job summary

• Graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• New York licensure or appropriate eligibility required.
• Strong communication, organization, and clinical skills.
• Interest in working with adult and geriatric rehabilitation populations.
• CFY candidates and experienced SLPs are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on resident abilities and functional goals.
• Provide skilled interventions addressing communication, cognition, and dysphagia.
• Monitor resident progress and modify treatment approaches when appropriate.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapeutic strategies.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with PT, OT, nursing, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
